The Wall and Mother
-Roger Waters the Wall, May 19th, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
Pink Floyd is my favorite band. Seeing Roger Waters The Wall last night brought tears to my eyes… especially during the songs Mother, Vera, and Bring the Boys Back Home. Those songs somehow evoke the most emotion within me, they remind me of certain people in my life and experiences i have dealt with. Having the seats we did(section one of the field in the 12th row) was unreal. Being so close to Roger Waters himself made the mind tripp. The effects and puppets that were used enhanced the senses and made one connect to the true message of The Wall. Walls are built up around everything. They are the protective barriers you build up around loved ones, they are the isolating walls you build around yourself, they are the segregating walls you build for power, they are the mental barriers you build up against people you don’t trust or wish not to love. The government builds walls around us, the media builds wall around us, the new age of advances in electronics build walls around us. Being a part of this makes us all just another brick in the wall.
I love and hate mindfucky things like this ugh
